ORN SOGIES Persons Vulnerability Indication Survey Preamble
Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is indispensable for freedom, justice and peace; Whereas the said rights include the right of the individual to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,
Background
The project funded by the Federal Republic of Germany through the Federal Foreign Office intends to address barriers that LGBTIQ+ persons face in accessing services in Namibia free from stigma and discrimination. These activities are to be implemented over a period of twelve (9) months starting in April 2024. Ten regions (Khomas, Omaheke, Erongo, Otjozondjupa, Kunene, Oshana, Oshikoto, Kavango-East, Omusati and Ohangwena) have been selected where the activities are to be implemented.
The goal of this project is to implement interventions that address structural barriers that inhibit access of LGBTIQ+ persons to quality and non-discriminatory services in Namibia.
Purpose
To produce evidence-based reports on the relevance of inclusive, equitable and non-discriminatory provision of services to sexual and gender diverse individuals towards the attainment of SDG goals in Namibia.
